Deer Recovery
Per Virginia Code 4VAC15-20-240 It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt or assist another to hunt on the same calendar day on a property after having used a drone or unmanned aircraft to locate or surveil any wild animal during any open season.
This means if I launch the drone all hunting has to cease until the next calendar day. If I find your deer wounded and has not expired, I will return within 24 hrs to check the status of the deer for a fee. Hunting would also have to cease for the day of the return trip also.
The deer recovery process begins by gathering information about the deer’s last known location, shot placement, and other factors. With this information, I plan the search and deploy my drone to the area. This drone detects heat signatures, helping to locate deer even in difficult terrains and conditions. I can also equip the drone with a searchlight for nighttime searches. The real-time imagery guides me to the deer’s exact location, ensuring a quick and efficient recovery.

Additional charges
- Return trip fee: If your deer is found wounded and still alive, I return within 24 hours to check on it: $100 under 40 miles, $150 for 40 miles or more
- Virginia hunters: once the drone is launched, hunting must stop for the rest of that calendar day and on the day of any return trip (4VAC15-20-240)
Service counties: Virginia: Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Fauquier, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Fairfax, Prince William. West Virginia: Berkeley, Jefferson, Hampshire, Hardy.
Distance: One-way driving miles from Stephens City, VA.
Electronic payment fee: 3% for credit/debit card, Venmo, or PayPal.
West Virginia: 6% sales tax applied to all WV services.
Payment: Due upon completion of services, whether or not the animal is located. Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Venmo, or PayPal (no checks). Any additional charges are discussed before extra services are performed. Prices subject to change without notice.
