Pet Recovery

Service Overview: Our pet recovery service utilizes advanced thermal drone technology to locate and recover lost pets in various terrains and conditions. I also have trail cameras for feeding stations and 5 and 6 foot humane traps available. We also conduct ground searches in the cases missing cats. Our experienced team is dedicated to reuniting you with your beloved pet as quickly as possible and safely.

Rapid Response: We provide same-day services and respond promptly to your request for help. Our service is available
Mon-Fri after 3:30PM and 24 hours on weekends.
 
Advanced Technology: Our drones are equipped with high-resolution thermal cameras capable of detecting heat signatures and providing clear images with up to 200X zoom. The drone is also capable of have a searchlight mounted for nighttime searches.
 
Professional Operation: Our licensed drone operator is experienced and skilled in navigating challenging terrains to ensure no pet goes unfound.
 
Onsite Support: Once your pet is located, our drone can track and follow them until you are able to reach them, providing real-time updates and guidance.
 
Service Process:
 
Initial Contact: I will obtain information about your lost pet, the search area, and other pertinent information and determine is a drone search is warranted.
 
Arrival and Setup: Upon arrival we will meet with you to quickly review the area and gather more details. I will then determine the best search location and set up the necessary equipment.
 
Search Operation: The drone will be deployed to scan the area using thermal imaging technology or we may start a ground search in the cases of missing cats.
 
Recovery Assistance: If your pet is located, our team will provide support to help you recover your pet. Sometimes we can guide you in to use “calming signals” to get your pet to come to you. Some cases will require and feeding station and a trap to recover the pet.

Base fee by distance from Stephens City, VA. Covers the first 2 hours on site.

What's included

  • Drone search for up to 2 hours on site
  • Updates by phone or text during the search

Additional charges

  • Mileage: $1.00 per mile, one way, from my home base to your location for the first 70 miles, then $1.50 per mile for each mile past 70.
  • Extra time: $75 for each additional hour after the first 2
  • Example: 25 miles away (20–30 miles), 2-hour search: $275 + $25 mileage = $300, plus 3% if paid electronically

Long-trip examples: 62 miles away, 2-hour search: $400 + $62 mileage = $462. 80 miles away: $400 + $70 (first 70 miles at $1.00) + $15 (10 miles at $1.50) = $485. Add 3% if paid electronically.

Service counties: Virginia: Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah, Page, Rappahannock, Loudoun, Fauquier, Fairfax, Prince William. West Virginia: Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson.

Distance: One-way driving miles from Stephens City, VA. Mileage is rounded up to the next whole mile.

Electronic payment fee: 3% for credit/debit card, Venmo, or PayPal.

West Virginia: 6% sales tax applied to all WV services.

Payment: Due upon completion of services, whether or not the animal is located. Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Venmo, or PayPal (no checks). Any additional charges are discussed before extra services are performed. Prices subject to change without notice.
